What is the benefit of having a water filter in my fridge?
The Pure Source Filter WF1CB removes the following impurities from
your drinking water:
- 96.5% of Chlorine and 98.3% of particles of rust, sand, dirt and sediment (5 to 15 microns in size).
- It is also reported to improve the clarity of the water.
- This filter does NOT remove Fluoride.
- Changing the filter regularly in your ice/water refrigerator also reduces the build-up of scale in your ice-making mechanism thereby reducing the need for costly services.
- Overall, it provides better tasting and smelling water with improved clarity.
The WFCB cartridge is tested and certified by NSF International to
meet or exceed NSF/ANSI Standard 42.
How do I install my new water filter?
Installing your new water filter:
- Unscrew the filter cup and dump out the water.
- Pull the old filter straight down and discard.
- Place the new filter in the filter cup. The end of the filter with the small o-ring should be up.
- The end of the filter with the small o-ring should be up.
- Screw the filter cup (with filter) up onto the housing . The filter will self-align as the cup is tightened.
- Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one).
Resetting your "change filter" light:
- Press and hold the reset button on the dispenser until the green light flashes (up to 15 seconds).
